Mathematical Model of a Vapour Absorption Refrigeration Unit

چکیده

By means of carefully devised assumptions, a simple linear model is presented for an absorption refrigeration unit employing either water-lithium bromide or ammonia-water refrigerant-absorbent pairs. Absorption systems are an alternative to vapour compression systems by being thermally activated. Such heat energy may come from the sun or even from hot exhaust gases from a particular engineering process. A thorough investigation of the optimal operating temperatures is necessary to ensure effective operation of the system. By means of this simulation, the system response to varying absorber, generator and condenser temperatures was analyzed. (Received in October 2009, accepted in March 2010. Determination of Concentration of the Aqueous Lithium–Bromide Solution in a Vapour Absorption Refrigeration System by Measurement of Electrical Conductivity and Temperature

Lithium–bromide/water (LiBr/water) pairs are widely used as working medium in vapour absorption refrigeration systems where the maximum expected temperature and LiBr mass concentration in solution are usually 95 °C and 65%, respectively. Unfortunately, published data on the electrical conductivity of aqueous lithium–bromide solution are few and contradictory. The objective of this paper is to d...

Combined Refrigeration Cycle for Thermal Power Plant Using Low Grade Waste Steam

Now a days, In most of the thermal power plant, where low-pressure steam is being exhausted to the atmosphere as a waste steam. This waste heat could be use to operate many small preheating or cooling equipments or small scale plants. There are many refrigeration systems present for refrigeration and air condition purpose. Such as air refrigeration, vapour compression, vapour absorption etc. In...

Proposal and analysis of a high-efficiency combined desalination and refrigeration system based on the LiBr–H2O absorption cycle—Part 1: System configuration and mathematical model

Simultaneous production of fresh water and refrigeration are often required, e.g. in warm-climate waterdeficient regions, and this study is a proposal and analysis of an efficient way of producing both of them by consuming mainly low-grade heat. After introducing the configuration choice methodology, a combined refrigeration and water system, ARHP–MEE (absorption refrigeration heat pump and mul...

Exergoeconomic Evaluation of an Integrated Nitrogen Rejection Unit with LNG and NGL Co-Production Processes Based on the MFC and Absorbtion Refrigeration Systems

Natural gas is often associated with nitrogen and heavy compounds. The Heavy components in the natural gas not only can feed downstream units, owing to the low temperature process may be formed solid as well. Therefore, heavy components separation can be a necessity and produce useful products. Virtually, all natural gases are containing nitrogen that would lower the heating value of natural ...
